Consilium Academies Photography Competition
Our Autumn/winter competition has been judged by critically acclaimed photographer Robert Darch:
'I thought the standard of all the entries was really high and it was such a diverse range of photographs which made the judging very hard. You should all be really proud of your photographs and make sure you keep taking pictures!'

Winners of 'Water'
%20.jpg)
1st prize
Daisy, 11
Ellesmere Park
This image immediately stood out, it’s a decisive moment, capturing the splashing water. Yet, it also has a very melancholic feel, helped by the starkness of the image, being in black and white and with the subject covering their face with their hands.
Robert Darch
2nd Prize
Alyssa, 15
Armthorpe
Both of these images really resonated with me, the rain drops on a window or windscreen, with the beautiful dawn or dusk sky beyond. I particularly liked that you were starting to make a series of the same viewpoint, and it’s not just about the single image, this is really interesting.

Thank you to all who have entered, its been wonderful to see how much creativity our students and staff have, there have been departments holding water related workshops for our pupils and much encouragement from staff in all schools. Its been great to be part of a Consilium wide competition and due to its success we will be holding another one in summer term - our judge of this competition , highly acclaimed photographer Robert Darch will be setting the theme.
